Lezzer Lumber Pennsdale Receives 2025 “Elite Location” Award

Lezzer Lumber employees in Pennsdale, Pennsylvania celebrate together with members of Lezzer Lumber’s corporate team after being named the 2025 Lezzer Lumber Elite Location of the Year. Lezzer Lumber Pennsdale received the award as part of an annual initiative Lezzer Lumber conducts with each of its locations to measure performance in overall financials, operations, store maintenance, morale, and overall activity.

Lezzer Lumber is proud to announce that its Pennsdale location has been named the 2025 recipient of the company’s Elite Location Award. This annual recognition celebrates the location that goes above and beyond, demonstrating pride in their work and passion for delivering exceptional results every day. Each year, all 20 of the company’s building materials stores and different divisions are carefully evaluated, and one winner is selected. 

“We look for performance in financials, in operations, in store cleanliness, morale, and overall activity — everything that makes up a successful location,” said Mike Lezzer, CEO of Lezzer Lumber.  “Pennsdale performed well by just about every measurable metric.” 

While Pennsdale has always been a successful store, the last two years have marked a purposeful transformation. Through yard renovations, reorganized systems, and updated procedures, the team elevated nearly every aspect of the location’s operations. That transformation began with a simple but powerful question: How can we serve our customers better?

“With the improvements they’ve made, it’s easy to see how they’ve taken advantage of every tool and every opportunity,” Lezzer said. “They’ve completed a very successful remodel, streamlined their operations, and really utilized their space to its fullest potential. The team’s energy is great to see. This is a store where people want to show up to work every day.”

For Pennsdale Store Manager Bo Hackney, the Elite Location Award is all thanks to his staff. “It’s their accomplishment, not mine,” Hackney said. “From the yard crew to the sales team, my team took ownership of improving their systems, and really went after trying to make this store perfect. We started this process two years ago, and to see it all culminate in this award is incredibly rewarding.”

Hackney also expressed appreciation for the company’s leadership and investment in the location’s growth. “I want to thank the Lezzer family for giving us the tools and the support to make these changes,” he said. “They invested in us, and our team ran with it.”

Looking ahead, the Pennsdale team isn’t slowing down. Over the next year, the location plans to further expand its turnkey installed sales services, building on Lezzer Lumber’s nearly 100 years of experience and history.

Lezzer Lumber celebrated the Pennsdale store’s hard work and excellence with a party earlier this week. The store also received a $1000 cash prize to use to give back to their team and community.
